ADOPTION POLICY:

We work with each horse so we can assess what each horse would be most suitable for whether it be performance, trail riding, therapy work or pasture companion. We like to make a match between adopter and horse so placement is important to us. We geld all colts and stallions prior to adoption and if a mare is pregnant or has a foal by her side we wait until she has given birth and weaned her foal before she is available for adoption. We keep foals until they have been worked with extensively and generally keep them until they are ready to go into training to make sure they start off on the right hoof but they are occasionally up for adoption to an experienced home. Many of our fosters have ended up becoming adopters, forming special relationships with their fosters. If you are interested in an ARF horse please email us at arfdesk@gmail.com. All horses are up to date on farrier care, vaccinations, deworming, coggins and dental care  prior to being available for adoption.
