Scooter was a member of one of our most intense animal cruelty cases to date. He was down in the field and near death when we arrived on scene with law enforcement but we were able to give him oxygen and IV fluids to stabilize him and get him into the trailer then into an Anderson sling since he was too weak to stand when we arrived at our emergency shelter. Scooter would go on to need several weeks of nasal oxygen, several blood transfusions and physical therapy before finally getting out of the sling a month after he was first placed into the sling. It took nearly 5 more months before Scooter was healthy enough to head to his wonderful new family at his forever home. He is a spunky, happy little guy and it was his incredible will to live that got him through so he could grab hold of that happy ending and he never let go.
